COVID: HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR TABLE TOP

    A

    Hard surfaces and Covid-19

Studies have shown that Coronavirus can potentially live on hard surfaces for anywhere up to 5 days.  However, it is reassuring that Coronavirus can be killed using the right products.

Covid-19 is an infectious disease that is surrounded in a layer of fat and proteins which protects it. This layer is dissolved with soap, disinfectant or alcohol, meaning that the virus is killed after this payer is removed.

    Cleaning your table tops

You will probably be tempted to clean your Pub Stuff Table Tops with disinfectant and alcohol during these times. These are great ways to kill the virus of course, but or solid wood and tops don't like the stuff! It will leave them with a  cloudy finish as it removes the lacquer, damaging your tables.

Along the lines of our normal cleaning advice, we recommend you continue to use warm soapy water as this will be more than enough to clean your tables, but clean them twice each time, as opposed to the usual one. And, like you hands, we also suggest cleaning tops more regularly.

How Do I Care For My Wooden Furniture?

    A

Caring for your Pub Stuff Wooden Furniture

All Pub Stuff wooden products are made from sustainable wood. They are solid wood not veneer. It is a natural product and will have individual grains and markings.

Wood will also expand and contract depending on the humidity and this may mean that sometimes the bolts and screws need tightening to hold the product firm – this is especially necessary in the first few weeks. Do not overtighten.

To keep your wooden furniture beautiful, you will simply need to wipe with warm soapy water and polish with a wood polish such as Pledge. Some sanitisers will quickly damage your furniture. The only sanitiser and cleaner that we recommend is Pub Stuff Cleaner and Sanister.

Do not place hot items directly onto Pub Stuff tables. If it is too hot to hold, it is too hot for the table.

If you need to move your tables, DO NOT DRAG THEM ACROSS THE FLOOR. Dragging will break your tables and Pub Stuff will not be liable for the damage caused in this way.

Tables must be lifted evenly. Poseur tables should be lifted by the pedestal, not the top.
