Caring For Your Pub Stuff Wooden Furniture

7 Aug 2019

All Pub Stuff wooden products are made from sustainable wood. They are solid wood and not veneer. This means that all of the tables we offer are natural products and will have individual grains and markings, therefore, caring for your pub stuff wooden furniture is very important.

From our own research and customers feedback, some sanitisers will damage your new tables. One of the biggest problems is D10, which is known as “a concentrated detergent disinfectant for cleaning and disinfection of all surfaces in food premises.”  We have seen in the past that many Pus and Restaurants buy this sanitiser to clean, but we urge you not to!

D10 will damage your tables - do not use it!

D10 is usually designed for commercial kitchens, where the counters are normally made from stainless steel. The issue with this and many other sanitisers is the corrosive nature of them which causes the protective layer of our tables to be destroyed.

The way to identify if your tables are being damaged it to look out for ring marks, the lacquer looks milky or it is wearing away.

To keep your wooden furniture beautiful, you will simply need to wipe them with warm soapy water and polish with a wood polish such as pledge.

Warm soapy water and pledge will keep your tables as good as ever.

The final way you can keep you tables in the best condition is to not place hot items directly onto Pub Stuff tables. If it is too hot to hold, it is too hot to put on your table.
