The Hod Carrier, Whitnash
The Hod Carrier in Whitnash is a small community local which has been transformed to incorporate large bookings, while still entertaining the locals.
Having opened last week, they’ve already hosted a record-breaking karaoke night and are booking out their 60 - 80 guest function area downstairs until the end of the year.
The goal was to bring some life back into this hub and create different sections for a broader range of customers. This was achieved by utilising the large south-facing windows in the smaller bar area for coffee mornings, wall mounted TV’s in the main bar for sports and live events, then the basement for private functions with a dedicated dance floor in the middle of the room.
Weathered oak and vintage wood finishes, with their unique textures and colours, combine with accent wood panel pillars to create a rustic look while a mix of pink, blue and purple fabrics bring warmth into the large upstairs bar area.
H-frame and Farmhouse tables play on the 70's style wooden features throughout the venue, while metal Verona bases and cross back Cambridge dining chairs mirror the traditional beer taps at the bar.
We wanted to make each space in the venue as unique as possible, so when customers return, they have new experiences.
