The King’s Head is a large country pub that offers a popular bar, restaurant, courtyard garden and 8 en-suite bedrooms, making it the go-to place in Hursley, just outside of Winchester.
Having recently changed owners, the venue has gone through a refurb to include a scheme of statement panelling on the walls, florals throughout and high-end fabric on the chairs to match.
Multiple sections make up the ground floor of this stunning venue. A small conversational area has two Tailored Hurricanes next to a log store in preparation for the winter, and tables of Luigi’s and Avon’s complete the space.
Before stepping down into one of the dining rooms, you’ll pass a couple of Kenilworth chairs surrounding the bar. Inside the bricked room are a mix of Hereford’s and Modena’s around Stowe’s and Garda tables, which lean into the rustic look.
Coming back into the main bar area and through to the natural light filled main dining room, you’ll pass a waiting area with a couple of Lisbon tub chairs. The King’s Head don’t want customers waiting too long to taste their Executive Chef’s delicious food, but if there’s a short wait, they’ll sit in comfort.
